Still painting, but no pictures :(

Well, I got all excited at the Summer Art Market and dropped my camera, so while I'm having fun painting cherries and other things, I'm afraid photos will have to wait until I get a new camera :(

Mango #5

I've done several studies of mangoes before, and they're so much fun to paint, I did another one today.  I love how the patterns of color they have, and while most of the ones I've seen are red and green, this one is red and yellow.

From June 3, 2010 - Small tomato

I really wanted to stay soft with this one, since I liked the softer edges I got with the apples. I used the leftover paint from the previous day's painting, and added a couple of colors.

An apple a day.... Gala Apple #1 - 5 x 7

I won't be painting apples everyday, but I thought this red one had a really pretty color to it.  This time I used 5 colors plus white: Transparent Yellow, Cad Yellow, Quinacridone Coral,  Cad Red Deep, and Cad Green Deep.
And here's the palette shot:

From June 1, 2010 - Green Apple #1 - 5 x 7

I wanted something I could do quickly, since this was done late last night.  I set up the apple on a white drape and decided to limit myself to 4 colors plus white.  I picked the paint colors I thought would be best out of the pile of tubes on my table.  I ended up with Transparent Yellow, Cad Yellow, Quin. Coral and Cad. Green Deep.

Here's a shot of my palette:
This one took about an hour and I spent about fifteen minutes signing it!
