The 40-day challenge

Several months ago, when I started this blog, I made the decision to do a small painting/study each day.  The more you paint, the better you get, and I figured this was a good way to make sure some art got done each day, no matter how busy I was.  To say 'life got in the way' of my meeting this goal is only partially true.  While I have done some painting studies since then, I thought I needed something to help me recommit to this practice.

I've given myself a 40-day challenge:  to do one small painting (start-to-finish) every day for 40 days.  I might not get them posted each day, but I'll paint one each day and date my postings.  So with that said....on to Day 1!
